The following works showcase a collaboration project with THREAD international where I lead in color and materials. It was the start of Reebok using recycled materials in footwear and a conversation that has not gone away for future seasons.
The material used on each vamp of the shoes was developed and designed using recyclable thread fabric. Utilizing yards made of recycled plastic waste to create a range of stylish training shoe with environmentally-friendly upper materials. Thread™ fabric is made with 50% recycled PET (plastic bottles). The bottles are collected in Hondruas, while the fabric is crafted in the USA.
